West Salem students get taste of real-world finances

La Crosse Tribune: West Salem High School students got a taste of what they will face in their post-high school lives when they participated in the school’s first reality store last week.

A reality store is a simulation in which participants are assigned an income and lifestyle, and then expected to make financial decisions.

“It really helped me understand how hard it is to manage money and how easy it is to overspend,” junior Hayley Perry said.
