Spooner Advocate: A group of five high school students from Birchwood, Shell Lake, and Northwood were chosen for a week-long trip to the nation’s Capitol to attend the 2016 National Leadership Forum/Conference on youth substance abuse.
The trip was sponsored by the Federal DFC (Drug-Free Communities) Grant which is overseen by New Paradigm Partners (NPP), a local non-profit group. The five schools that are part of the grant are Birchwood, Shell Lake, Northwood, Luck, and Frederic.
