Winter students talk with hometown astronaut aboard ISS

Duluth News Tribune: A good chunk of the population of 306 people here were packed into the middle school gymnasium Thursday morning for a question-and-answer session with their most famous hometown boy made good.

At precisely 10:15 a.m. the gym was linked, voice and video, via Internet and radio to the International Space Station orbiting somewhere over North America.

That’s where Jeff Williams, NASA astronaut and Winter High School class of 1976 graduate, was waiting to field questions about his latest of four space missions.
